Do you know who you REALLY are?

Let’s do something real quick.
Just close your eyes and think back to when you were a kid. What do you remember?
Can you recall what your childhood was like?
As kids, it’s natural for us to do the things that make us feel safe, loved and appreciated. Our choices, personalities, likes and dislikes were all shaped by which behaviors we were rewarded for, and which ones got us punished.
That doesn’t really sound like a problem, right?
Unfortunately, it is a problem. And a fucking big one too.
Cause you see, most of us tend to cling to our childhood personas even after we become fully grown credit-card wielding, rent-paying adults.
Without realizing it, we base our entire lives on tendencies that were reinforced in us during our childhood.
And that’s where the path of bullshit really starts.
These beliefs are so deeply rooted in our subconscious that without realizing it, they constantly affect our career choices, personal relationships, goals, dreams and ambitions.
And unless we heal that trauma and unlearn those toxic beliefs, we’ll never be able to step out of our comfort zones and live thriving lives.
And that’s exactly what Mariela De La Mora, my guest on today’s episode of the Revolutionary Rising podcast, helps her clients achieve.
Mariela is a leadership coach and business strategist with over 15 years of marketing experience. As a first generation Mexican American, Mariela was often the only WOC in senior leadership circles. She’s now actively working to change that by helping women (particularly daughters of immigrants) unpack their generational conditioning and break glass ceilings to grow thriving careers.
Mariela’s approach to leadership and coaching is based on her own journey of unpacking the toxic mindsets that she unconsciously imbibed as a child. She calls it reparenting.
Mariela knows that unpacking trauma can be difficult and overwhelming. But, once we accept that we’re all perpetual works in progress, we’ll be able to let go of who we once were and build ourselves anew.
Join us on today’s episode as we chat about revolutionary leadership, the fear of rejection, effective coaching strategies and how we run our businesses while living life to the fullest.
Let’s rebuild ourselves in revolutionary ways.
Until next time,
Gieselle
