how do you feel?

Jan 7, 2021Revolutionary Rising Podcast

In the past 24 hours, it’s probably been a struggle to feel good.

You may have been triggered back into the conditioning whiteness has created for us…

…you know, the one that tells us that struggle is our only identity.

Whiteness keeps us so busy trying to constantly prove ourselves to the world and stand firm against the onslaught of white supremacy, capitalism, and patriarchy that we forget about the most fundamental parts of our humanity.

We forget to love our bodies. We forget to experience pleasure. We forget to feel joy.

And if you ask me, I think it’s a fucking tragedy.

Our bodies were built for thriving, pleasure, and joy. They are sacred, filled with divinity and meant to generate love.

And for too long now, whiteness has stripped us of that deep, intimate, natural connection to our bodies.

No more.

Today’s episode of the Revolutionary Rising podcast was recorded a while ago, but it couldn’t have come at a better time.

Let me introduce you to the voice we all need to hear today: Ann Nguyen.

A sexual empowerment coach, Ann believes that it’s imperative for us to change the narrative around women’s pleasure.

As a first-generation Vietnamese American, Ann understands the ways in which patriarchy disempowers and disconnects women from their own sexuality by turning it into a social taboo.

This act of reclaiming your body, your sexuality, and your pleasure is deeply healing. It’s regenerative.

And, it is revolutionary.

It’s also really fucking necessary on days like today.

Join us on today’s episode as we unpack the relationship between colonialism and our bodies, discuss the cultural taboo around women’s sexuality, and examine the relationship between divinity and sexuality.

Trust me, this is a conversation you need to hear.

And when you’re done, come back and tell me – how do you want to reclaim your body and pleasure?

Until next time,

Gieselle
